“Apple rips off student’s rejected iPhone app”
Rejected Wi-Fi Sync app that was released more then a year ago by student developer Greg Hughes now looks familiar in apple’s new “Wi-Fi Sync”
Read the story here, i’ve been a long time fan of the app and it was in a class of its own.
This is the program i’ve been using for a while now and have been waiting for. ScreenFloat is screen capture done right.
- Borderless Screen Capture/Picture Viewer: Open a picture with screenfloat and that’s all you’ll see.
- Organize Screen Captures with tags and make smart folders.
- Captures/Pictures open up completely adjustable: This is perfect for when you’re writing a paper, and just want a snapshot of a website (or anything) to look at.
This is what i’ve wanted since way back and i’ve asked about it on this blog for a long time. This great app is by one of my favorite developers Eternalstorms and i highly reccommend you check out this app.
Free to trial, 7.99 to download from the mac app store. Check it out
GetLyrical does exactly what the title says, it gets your lyrics. But it does it in a streamlined easy way that really takes away the chore mentality of finding and putting lyrics in your song.
Open GetLyrical, and your presented with a small window with three options:
Tag Selection: GL puts lyrics for all the songs you have selected in iTunes.
Tag Current: GL ‘listens’ to the song you’re currently playing and puts lyrics into it.
Active Tagging: This option means you leave GL open and it automatically puts lyrics into your songs as your listening to them.
This App not only works, it works well. And it’s been my go to app for years.
I highly recommend it.
Win a FREE copy of Djay for mac
i have an extra serial for Djay, the simple digital djing app for Mac.
To win it, all you have to do is:
1. Follow Nigh Coulomb on tumblr
2. Reblog this (Click Link)
3. Like this post to show that you did both.
I will use random.org (a random number generator) to select the winner based on what number like they were. so if you’re the 5th person to like this post, then you’ll be number 5 in the drawing.
The Winner will be selected on February 4th (two weeks from now) at 7 PM Eastern.
I’m doing this so i can bring awareness to my music, you don’t have to download the album; but i encourage you to do so.
Thank You

After so long, i finally found out how to make a folder without any text
i try to keep my desktop clean, so i only have 4 folders on there. i didn’t like the text, but there’s no way you can delete the name of a folder, and it’s not like there’s an invisible letter…well technically there is.
Here’s how to have a folder with no name, or more accurately, no visible name.
credit goes to here [by richthomas]
1. Open safari, hit optoin-command-T ( go to Edit, and click on special characters)
2. “Search for ‘invisible’ and click on ‘INVISIBLE SEPERATOR’ then choose either of the empty ones and copy them to anywhere (your desktop)”
3. now just copy that file and paste it in any folder name and voila.
I like the vertical orientation of the Min/Max Buttons on iTunes 10
Not too crazy about the icon; it’s very underwhelming.
And as far as ping goes, even though it would be great if it wasn’t so
iTunes store-centric, and more listen to the music and discover new artist like, i hope it does continue to grow into a great music community.
Anyways, if you want to follow me on ping,
Please do
Edit: the icon has grown on me.
