“Apple rips off student’s rejected iPhone app”
Rejected Wi-Fi Sync app that was released more then a year ago by student developer Greg Hughes now looks familiar in apple’s new “Wi-Fi Sync”
Read the story here, i’ve been a long time fan of the app and it was in a class of its own.
My iPhone Homescreen.
small things like and if i’m really reaching for the stars; online music bio and lyrics etc… Still excited about all the new apple goodies that are coming out, and will be upgrading like a muh in the upcoming months.

Access To All Collection From An Artist on now playing screen.
First let me say, that i’ve wanted this feature for a very long time. And this definitely delivers. Once you buy it ($10) you can download it through cydia, and it will appear as an app on your ipod (or iphone). then when you want to sync with iTunes, have your computer on, and press the wi-fi sync app on your idevice. Then everything else just works like it would with a usb cable. it syncs songs, transfers purchases, updates playlist etc… The speed is actually not that bad. no doubt about it though, that usb is faster but then again, you don’t have to be plugged into your mac (or Pc) to do it.
Now in my experience with it so far, sometimes itunes reads your device spot on and other times it gives errors. however, these errors are usually remedied by quitting the app and reopening it (opens fast with no delay btw). Now this could be the sync app code, or itunes. but it’s nothing that really stops you from syncing, just close open and things seem to work fine.
Also, i successfully was able to sync when i made an ad-hoc connection in my house. i want to try this somewhere else to see if it works anywhere, because if it does, then you can sync anywhere no matter if you have wi-fi or not.
So far i really love this wi-fi sync, and i’m glad that i can keep my ipod touch plugged into the wall and sync at the same time. Or start syncing upstairs, and have it finish by the time i’m downstairs out the door in my car.
as far as battery drainage? when i was at school (where the connection is dog slow) i synced and it took like 8 minutes (at home, not the case at all, more like a minute or two) and battery went down 4% from 82 to 78. So not that taxing at all.
i want to use it a couple more times and really see how it performs in other places to really judge it, but if the idea of wi-fi sync sounds great to you, then look no further; this works.
Wi-Fi Sync
i leave my ipod touch 2g alone on standby overnight, and wake up with an almost completely depleted battery.

Instead of simply tapping Shift and then tapping your letter when you want the capital format, do this: tap Shift, drag your finger to the letter you want to capitalize, and release.
This trick is even better when you’re going for punctuation: just substitute Shift with the keyboard switcher key (123/ABC). The beautiful thing here is that after inserting your punctuation, you’re back at the alphabet keyboard: definitely a time-saver. -Appstorm
